Aerial Surveys in partnership with AAM (formerly AAMHatch) were successful in winning the Auckland Local Government Geospatial Information Group (ALGGi) LiDAR and ortho imagery program for 2010.
The program includes the use of Pictometry to produce ortho imagery (0.125 m GSD) as well as oblique imagery over a significant portion of the urban area as well as the use of Aerial Survey’s new Vexcel UltraCam digital camera.
Acquisition commenced in January 2010.
This project effectively covers most of the urban areas of the new Auckland Super City as part of an ongoing geospatial strategy.
