Capture

Historic Scanning

Aerial Surveys has two Leica large format negative scanners running, ready to scan negatives from our Library or yours. In the world of historical preservation and environmental monitoring, historic aerial imagery is a powerful tool that can unveil the secrets of the past.
Mapping
Post capture processing is a key step in delivering high accuracy map products. The processing effort varies based on the capture method, sensor, scale of capture and required end products. The following outlines some of the processing and end products available.

Aerial Surveys Libraries
Aerial Surveys has an extensive photographic library that contains images dating back to the 1950s. Prior to 2007 Aerial Surveys also owned the renowned Whites Aviation photographic library which has now been taken over by the Alexander Turnbull Library in Wellington. In addition to imagery Aerial Surveys has collected a significant amount of LiDAR data throughout New Zealand which is continually growing and is a very useful library of elevation data.
