Aerial Ortho Imagery
We offer high quality 3 and 4 band digital imagery capture using the latest in large and medium format camera technology. We have operated Vexcel mapping cameras for over ten years as well as various high quality medium format cameras including the latest PhaseOne airborne camera.
Our cameras can capture at very high resolution (3 cm GSD) as well as offering highly efficient wide area capture for urban and rural specifications.
Airborne LiDAR
Aerial Surveys offers high accuracy LiDAR surveys using the Optech Galaxy PRIME system suitable for a wide range of applications in New Zealand.
Airborne LiDAR is now extensively used throughout the world in multiple industries as the GIS community gains more knowledge of its uses. It's growth has been rapid in recent years and looks set to continue.
Photogrammetric Mapping
Aerial Surveys delivers both qualitative and quantitative photogrammetric information in 'fit for purpose' products for informed decision making.
Specialised Forestry Mapping
Aerial Surveys offers a variety of remote sensing forest management tools and solutions to add value to forest owners and managers throughout the lifecycle of a forest.
Our range of technologies are designed to meet recognised needs in the industry and to increase the level of certainty in forest inventory management.
3D Imagery and Data
Aerial Surveys has a state of the art photogrammetric image dense matching application for generating a high density point cloud collected from the stereo imagery. Alternatively the use of dense LiDAR point clouds with imagery deliver superior 3D models and datasets
Data Capture Services
Aerial Surveys is able to offer remote sensing data capture services throughout New Zealand using its fleet of aircraft which have been particularly suitable for capture of 3D imagery. Aerial Surveys operates three fixed wing aircraft dedicated to New Zealand with access to additional platforms:
Disaster Response Services
Aerial Surveys offers immediate capture for emergency response management with rapid deployment and fast delivery of data capture.
Historical Library
Aerial Surveys has an extensive photographic library that contains images dating back to the 1950s. Prior to 2007 Aerial Surveys also owned the renowned Whites Aviation photographic library which has now been taken over by the Alexander Turnbull Library in Wellington. In addition to imagery Aerial Surveys has collected a significant amount of LiDAR data throughout New Zealand which is continually growing and is a very useful library of elevation data.
