Aerial Surveys has been awarded the contract to supply the newly formed New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) ortho imagery over the national state highway system under a two year contract with options to extend for a further two years.
Aerial Surveys has been supplying strip photography to Transit New Zealand for the last nine years and this contract is the first involving ortho imagery.
The New Zealand Transport Agency was formed in 2008 through the merger of Transit New Zealand and the Land Transport Services Agency.
Aerial Surveys has gained significant experience in Corridor Mapping especially in New Zealand conditions.
The Project began in November 2008 with the photography capture work which includes parts of the more difficult regions such as Northland where favourable weather patterns are scarce and need close monitoring.
